Who taught you to read?
According to my mom, I taught myself! I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s one of those family legends, but I go with it. She says I used to look at the pictures in the book and make up stories based on them, which is probably true. One day, she was listening to me “read” and realized that I was actually saying the words on the page. That last part might not be true, but I am exceptional in many ways, so why not just let it be?
When did you learn to read? Any family legends there?
